ALICE IS MISSING

One-shot (2-3 hours)
GM: April-Lyn
Maximum player count: 5 (including facilitator)
No roleplaying experience required!

Alice Is Missing is a silent role-playing game about the disappearance of Alice Briarwood, a high-school junior in the small town of Silent Falls. During the game, players only communicate through text (we will be using Discord), sending text messages to each other as they unearth clues about what happened to Alice.

You need:

  • a charged device (laptop, tablet, cell phone) capable of sending text messages through Discord
  • a device capable of recording a short audio message (voicemail length) (this can be the same device)
  • backup batteries or charging cables to keep your device powered for the full session,
  • anything else you need to be comfortable for a 2-3 hour gaming session.

Everything else will be provided by the facilitator!

(Note: Since this game is about the disappearance of a female high-school student, it may involve mature themes and is open only to players 18+. However, we will start the game by discussing which topics and themes players do not want in the game, and we will provide safety tools, including an X card. Even if we confront uncomfortable subject matter, the idea is for everyone to feel safe and enjoy the game!)

Board & Card Games

Bring your friends and your favorite games, or try out one of the games on our demo shelf!

Our list of demo games is available to view on BoardGameGeek. We occasionally get in new demos or cycle out old ones, so the list is subject to change.

Also check out our monthly Sunday game days hosted by Ventura County Tabletop! Each month, their team of experienced GMs teach a variety of games within that month’s theme. See our events page or our calendar for upcoming dates and more details.
