current offerings:

Dungeons & Dragons (5th edition)

Ongoing campaign, 3rd Thursdays
GM: Bryce
Maximum player count: 5 (not including GM) (1 seat remaining)

(This game will remain open to new players until the maximum player count is reached.)

During Session 0 (February 20), we will decide between the following campaigns/campaign settings, based on player experience, interest, and age:

  • Curse of Strahd A gothic horror adventure based on the classic Ravenloft adventure module.
  • Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft A collection of adventures set in the Ravenloft universe. Would play as a lead in to a Curse of Strahd campaign.
  • Feywild A fantasy campaign setting in the Plane of Faeries, filled with raw, primal wild magic, whimsical creatures, dangerous riddles, and lots of chaos.

The Quiet Year

Short campaign (2-3 sessions, 1st and 3rd Thursdays)
GM: April-Lyn
Maximum player count: 5 (including GM) (3 seats remaining)
(This game will be closed to new players once it begins on February 20th. Add yourself to the waitlist to be notified when a new session is beginning.)

The Quiet Year is a collaborative map-making game where players tell the story of a community living after the collapse of civilization, attempting to build something good within their quiet year. Players do not play individual characters; instead, they take on the roles of narrators, describing the actions and reactions of the community as they face profound and/or ridiculous challenges. The game can be as silly or as serious as players like (and most likely will be a combination of both).

(Note: Yes, this game involves drawing. But you don’t need to be an artist to play! The drawings are just meant to be visual aids for the story we are telling. Stick figures, scribbles, and shapeless blobs aren’t just acceptable–they’re preferred.)

Board & Card Games

Bring your friends and your favorite games, or try out one of the games on our demo shelf!

Our list of demo games is available to view on BoardGameGeek. We occasionally get in new demos or cycle out old ones, so the list is subject to change.

Also check out our monthly Sunday game days hosted by Ventura County Tabletop! Each month, their team of experienced GMs teach a variety of games within that month’s theme. See our events page or our calendar for upcoming dates and more details.
